If you are current and are enrolled in EMT, AEMT or Paramedic with us and have completed Final Exam, we are in the process of giving you a free two month extension on your overall course deadline due to issues with rotation sites cancelling or not scheduling students over the next few weeks, due to the pandemic declaration. We assume that even when they again resume taking students, it can take some time to get you rescheduled. It doesn’t appear that all sites are doing this but some are and will. Also, if you have ANY signs or symptoms of potential infectious illness of any kind, or if you have been potentially exposed to a coronavirus patient without appropriate protection, you will need to self isolate for 14 days. Please notify Mrs. Williams to cancel your rotations for that period or, if you are diagnosed, until you have been cleared with 2 tests per the guidelines. (The same common sense applies for if you are scheduled for skills labs. We do NOT want you to attend those labs if you are sick or could spread this virus OR THE FLU to others so please email Jane at programdirector@percomonline.com to cancel your skills labs if needed. Use common sense.) We want you all to be safe and healthy and want to keep your fellow students, instructors and patients safe and healthy as well.
If you do not receive a Student Movement Form notice within the next 3 days about your extension (but have taken and passed final exam), please first check your email spam/trash/junk mail folders. If found there, please mark them to your inbox and as NOT spam or trash so that hopefully future notices from this system will arrive in your inbox normally. If you still don’t see one, email Jane.
